MindWell is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. After each session, you receive a detailed superbill that you can submit to your insurance carrier for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients with PPO plans receive significant reimbursement. We’re happy to help you understand what to expect from your specific plan before you begin.

The fee is $400 per 50-minute session for individual therapy. Couples sessions are also $400. This includes a precision treatment plan tailored to your psychological profile, full clinical confidentiality, and between-session support as needed. Payment is due at the time of each session via credit card, HSA, or FSA.

Current availability varies. After you reach out, Dr. Freier will respond within one business day with current availability. If there is a waitlist, you’ll be informed promptly so you can make an informed decision about next steps.

Yes. MindWell offers secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions for clients across Rhode Island and, in some cases, other states where Dr. Freier is licensed or eligible. Many clients alternate between in-person and telehealth depending on their schedule.

MindWell is a boutique private practice, which means every client works directly with Dr. Freier. There are no associate therapists or group practices. Treatment is grounded in Dr. Freier’s doctoral training in clinical psychology and neuroscience, her research background at Brown University, and her 10+ years of clinical experience. You receive a genuinely individualized treatment plan, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

The initial consultation is a thorough, unhurried conversation. Dr. Freier will ask about what’s bringing you to therapy now, your history, your goals, and what you’re hoping therapy will change. You’ll also have space to ask questions. By the end of the first session, you’ll have a clear sense of whether MindWell is the right fit and what treatment might look like.
